The French influence of Marie Antoinette clothing looked gorgeous on models as they sashayed and rocked the catwalk adorning pastel colored bobs, and creepers (which I am obsessed with!) The frocks remind me of a place and time I wish I was alive for, yet thanks to Karl I can stare at the endless photos of models from the show online.

Chanel Resort 2013
Marie Antoinette, metallic creepers, and magical clothing came together to make up the Chanel Resort 2013 collection. The show, which was at Chateau de Versailles, was stunning. Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Chanel, never seems to phase editors and other designers with how beautifully his pieces come out. Yet Karl is always on his toes, bringing together styles and collections that mix things you wouldn't expect.

Style Inspiration: Fifi Lapin
I can honestly say I never thought the day would come around that I would ever be jealous of a rabbit. Yes, you read the sentence correctly. I'm jealous of a rabbit! Not the adorable, furry kind that hop around eating carrots though. This rabbit is as fashionable as they come, making human girls like me run for our money.
Fifi is a haress to her fathers fortune. She always looks classy and put together, and may come off as a just a socialite, but there is so much more about her that is intriguing. Her designer duds, her signature "bunny kisses" goodbye message, what's not to love? The best part about Fifi is that she always changes it up. I hope you all understand why I've grown to love this "petit lapin" so much!

HOT CHILD IN THE CITY
Jeffrey Campbell shoes are the epitome of sass, beauty, and pure joy. In their summer lookbook, the clothes were vintage and the shoes were out of this world. Prints ranging from galaxy platforms to neon pink open toe platforms; variety was the spice of life in this shoot. My personal favorite? The peacock covered peeptoe wedge... phenomenal shoe I would hold on display for all my peers to gawk at.

Met Gala 2012
The Met Gala always manages to bring the best looking celebrities wearing the finest gowns. To the East Side, this is Fashion Oscars. From models (Jessica Stam in Dior) to musicians (Lana Del Rey in custom Altuzarra), everyone looked stunning. Although some looks stood out more than others (I will never forget my own reaction to Cameron Silver with his cane that featured a blowfish!) the red carpet had many looks that I could only dream of acquiring in my wardrobe someday. Here are some of my favorites:
Lana Del Rey, in Altuzarra
Florence Welch, in Alexander McQueen
Dakota Fanning, in Louis Vuitton
January Jones, in Atelier Versace
Marc Jacobs, "I didn't want to wear a tuxedo and be boring"
Coco Rocha, in vintage Givenchy
Hailee Steinfeld, in Prada
Karlie Kloss, in Jason Wu
Lily Collins, in Valentino
Arizona Muse, in Erdem
Jessica Chastain, in Louis Vuitton
Stella McCartney and M.I.A, both in Stella McCartney
Jessica Stam, in Dior (my personal favorite of the night!)
On a final note, I will be attending the Schiaparelli/Prada exhibit next week during my trip to New York City. Since I couldn't see the McQueen exhibit, this will make up for it 100%. Seeing the designs in front of my own eyes (although in glass cases, or I would probably make a break for the exit with a gown or two!) I will come back inspired and hopefully with many photos of the exhibit.

New York City
I'm hoping that the trip will inspire me and re-generate my love of fashion. So many bloggers I love are situated in the city and I hope that others will engage me with their street style. It's going to be a magical trip. I look forward to my own Holly Golightly moment in front of Tiffany's while I munch on a croissant the first morning we adventure!

My best friend (Courtland) and I had the opportunity to have a small photo shoot around town. Our town is lackluster, not very much to do and not much scenery to work with so it was a very impromptu shoot. She is one of my more stylish gal pals, as she can buy pieces from Goodwill or Value Village and make them look outstanding. When it comes down to it though - she's an accesory queen. Court loves rings and things, but adores bags and shoes. Her rings from this shoot are awesome, I wanted to steal the snake off her hand! My favorite piece is the denim shirt she's wearing in these pictures with the flower detailing, from Value Village in Kingston. Love it!
